![]() This video from KPRC Houston has the story: Texas school district pulls Jerry Craft children’s books over critical race theory complaints ()Ĭraft was surprised at the challenge. The meeting was cancelled but the book was not banned. ![]() One mother at Roosevelt Anderson Middle School started a petition to keep Craft from having a zoom conversation because she believed that this book taught white children that they are oppressors. Sadly, he’s using these stories as a tool to make a name for himself in politics, which is why I’ve left his name out of this article. He hasn’t even read the books he’s trying to remove from libraries. My guess is he ran a query in a database of books owned in Texas libraries that looked like this: “race, queer, black lives matter, white privilege, transgender, sex, identity, gender” and copied and pasted the results to an excel spreadsheet. ![]()
